Religious Bookstores

The idea listed here is not for a fee. The Designs digitized by Band To Bow for $15.00.  You get both filled and applique versions for boy and girl as pictured

I started doing Christian Bookstores several years ago also. I realized my designs with the bible verses and stick kids were unique. I stitched out some sample diapers and bibs, called and made an appointment with the "Person" who does Purchasing for the store. On the day of my first appointment, I was so scared. I was afraid of rejection but I went. The bookstore LOVED the samples and I received my first $800 order. The reason the bookstore went with my company, by the way I am a One Woman Company was the unique designs that includes Bible Verses. This is something not offered by many companies. I used my Nobbie Neez Religious Kids sets. thus the reason they were designed. When delivering the item, I used shrink wrap to package them. I also put a cute label using Avery Labels #8196 with the store name and washing instructions. I have a picture shown of a sample burp.

Things to remember:

Make an appointment.

Do Not take more than 10 samples. Each visit you can show new products by adding a couple of new designs. If you offer to much in the beginning the person becomes overwhelmed and will lose interest.

Keep the design very simple because time is money. The less stitch time and color changes, the more money you make.

On the sample do not personalize them. You CANNOT personalize for each customer and sell volume.

Use only Quality products. I do not recommend making the items yourself. The reason is because if you receive large orders, you will not have time to make the item and stitch it in a timely manner.

Once I get the order, I create a Cute Label in Print Shop under Labels, to put on the package with the "Store Name" and washing instructions.

Do not overload yourself. Do only a few stores at a time.

I hope this inspires you. I currently stitch for 79 stores. I have three machines and my mom has two. I don't think the machines ever stop.

Remember if the Customer doesn't see the product, they can't buy it!

I also use the samples of the Religious stuff for my Hospitals. I stitch several Hospital Gift shops. The Catholic and Baptist Hospitals are my best customers.
